Beth and Dave's Wedding (kinda)

Beth and Dave planned a beautiful wedding ceremony after getting legally married in Vegas weeks before. It was perfect in every way and we are so happy for them!

GGP's Birthday and the Zoo!

Grandpa George Palmer (GGP)'s birthday was last Sunday so we all went to the zoo and then to breakfast at the Good Egg. It was a great day! It was Shyla's first trip to the zoo. We became members so I'm sure we will spend a lot of time there.

It's important to protect your eyes from the sun.

The zoo is exhausting.
PS - for those of you who wonder or complain (MOM) about my infrequent posts, it's because I have been trying to get this post up for a few days now and I keep getting kicked out of the program. I have more pictures to share from Sunday but ... it may be awhile. Sue me.

Just Pictures

Sometimes I think captions are not necessary. Here are some pictures of our girl!

Auntie Kirsten

We had a really fun visit with Auntie Kirsten, who got to meet Shyla for the first time! We worked in my classroom, hiked Sabino Canyon, and ate a lot (especially Eegees!). It was nice to have her here. Shyla mentioned to me that she can't wait to meet her Uncle Jim though!

A Family of Three

I tried with no success to take a family photo on Father's Day...so I was determined to make it happen yesterday.

A Family of Three!

Fourth of July!

Yesterday we celebrated the 4th of July at my parent's house. We usually go to California with Stevie's family but we decided that we aren't quite ready to travel with Shyla yet. We had yummy hot dogs and potato salad and key lime pie. We didn't see any fireworks but the dogs could hear them in the distance. That's okay, Shyla would have slept through them anyway.

The three kids all dressed up for the holiday. So cute! I love the way Zac is looking at Shyla and how proud Lilly looks to be the big-kid!

A big thank-you to Eileen for this t-shirt. It says, "Proud to be Daddy's Girl" and is very patriotic!

This picture shows the adorable 4th of July outfit that Marty Dorgan gave Shyla. It is too big for her still, but we wanted to take a few pictures in it anyway. She will get some use out of it in a few months.

Yes, Mommy does exist!

I recently realized that, with the exception of the photos in the hospital, there are no pictures of me and Shyla together so I made the conscience decision to have a couple taken.

It might look like she's looking at me but I'm pretty sure she is starring at the ceiling fan.

Good Old Friends

A few weeks ago Shyla and I went to a yummy dinner with two of my oldest and best friends. Maren, Pauline, and I played softball together for many years and became very close in the process. They have been so supportive over the years. They visited us in the hospital and then got to visit with Shyla again at our dinner date.
A great big congratulations to Pauline who got engaged to Eric while we were still in the hospital!
