We left as two...and returned as three!

Here is our first family photo! As many of you know, we checked into the hospital on Monday, May 18th and began almost 48 hours of trying to induce labor. We were so excited to meet our baby girl! We finally got to meet her on Wednesday, May 20th at 5:41 pm. She came via c-section.
With a c-section, the baby is immediately taken out of the operating room; thankfully Stevie got to go with her while the doctor finished the surgery. After what seemed like an eternity, they finally brought her into me so I could see and kiss her.

Shyla is beautiful and perfect and I'm now wondering how we lived without her. She weighed 7 lbs 9.2 oz and was 19 inches at birth. Stevie and I are tired but adjusting to our new life and schedules. More updates and photos to come!

Love reading this!!! We started blogging when Kaia was born - we're kinda behind now. Hope to get started up again later in June.

Would love to hear your birthing story - can't believe you were in labor for so long. Glad you guys are home and healthy!

She is beautiful. Spencer's former baby-sitter had a baby girl the same day you had Shyla. Her name is Sienna. Isn't that the strangest coincidence? And speaking of coincidences, I looked at Eileen Short's blog to discover that she is friends with my friends Kristi and Andy. How weird!

Can't wait to see a million more pictures!
