Another goal that I had for my Spring Break was to create a place for Shyla to display her favorite pictures! Albeit, her favorite pictures right now are really my favorite pictures but one day, very soon I fear, she will have her own opinions about that too!
Her room is not conducive to placing framed pictures around. There is little counter-space and even the space that does exist is not safe from her knocking things off.
So, I made a trip to:
- Target
- Office Max
- Hancock Fabrics
And I bought these materials for approximately $12:
And about 1 hour later (while watching the documentary "Babies") I had this as a final product:
Next Monday(!) we should find out if Fetus is a boy or a girl. At that time I will probably make one for his/her room. We have decided that the nursery is going to have a UofA theme; red & blue for a boy and pink & white for a girl. Can't wait!

I love so many things about this post: the crafty picture board, so cute; the updated profile (not sure if you did that a long time ago, but I love it); that you watched "Babies" - did you totally love it? I cried and laughed so hard and was amazed at how incredibly amused I was by a silent movie...and last, I love, love, love, love, LOVE the U of A theme for the nursery! I think it's the greatest! I am biting my nails in anticipation of finding out the good news on Monday about the bun in the oven...eeeeeeek! From one list maker to another, hooray for projects and hooray for checking 'em off the list!
So then will Fetus become officially a Feta or Feto??!! I can't wait either! Love the picture holder too!
crafty crafty crafty!!
Cannot WAIT to find out what Fetus is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love:
~your new layout!
~the picture holder (it inspires me to make one for Ellie's room since we don't have anywhere "safe" for pics either)
~the documentary "Babies" (it makes you believe you really can't mess up too much with this whole parenting thing)
~that you call the baby Fetus... I think Fetus Forgacs has a nice ring to it.. I'm just saying :oP
I hope this little one cooperates for the ultrasound more than Shyla did!
